to bring the McManus Brothers into a TapStory

Nov. 10, 2020, (Los Angeles, CA) – It’s the third and final season! Director Troy Duffy has put a “TapStory” spin on the 1999 cult classic film, The Boondock Saints, and fans won’t want to miss it.

And for Noah McManus, now well on his way to becoming 'Il Duce', things couldn't be better. His childhood friend and partner in vengeance, Louie Patronazzi, would control him for his own ends…but how do you control someone who has become more monster than man? Join director and creator Troy Duffy as they bring you Season 3 of 'The Secret History of Il Duce'! The finale starts here. "Watching the Boondock Franchise expand into new mediums is awesome,” said writer and director Troy Duffy. “Telling new stories gives more muscle to the overall saga, from father to sons and beyond. Macroverse seems to me where comics need to go, like everything else they are updated to a new, more cinematic experience. And though the latest chapter wraps up this series, there may be more on the way!”

The Boondock Saints series brought me back to comics. A lot of what we've built with Macroverse is a direct result of putting this series together,” said Macroverse co-founder Eben Matthews. “Working with Troy - the original creator of the Saints franchise has been wonderful and is a blueprint for how we think about bringing existing worlds and characters into the Macroverse format. For us, it's about expansion not adaptation - this gives creators an opportunity to dig into NEW stories - to explore complementary but different areas from the source material. Troy and the rest of the creative team took full advantage of that opportunity and crafted something special here. All Boondock Saints fans will love it. I know I do.”

A special capsule story, The Boondock Saints: The Lost Gig, featuring fan-favorite Rocco along with the Brothers McManus as they take on a group of drug dealers, right before their famous encounter with Vincenzo. Story by Troy Duffy and J.B. Love, with art by Toby Cypress.

The Boondock Saints “Mob War” and “The Lost Gig” are available now on the Macroverse app!
